Smart Thinking

 Aspects of smart thinking;

  •        Reasoning: core of the smart thinking. Reasons support claims and help to being rational.
  •        Argument: most essential thing in critical thinking. A statement expressing a reason or reasons used to show that another statement is true or   likely to be true.
  •        Premises - statements (reasons) given in support of another statement.
  •        Conclusion - statement that the premises are intended to support.

Arguments vs explanations;

       Arguments give reasons for believing that something is the case.

       An explanation tells us why or how something is the case.

  •   One of the key ingredients of successful thinking and analysis, and of the effective use of reasoning, is our own attitude.
  •   Another skill which we must improve in smart thinking is developing the skill of asking the right questions (not the ability to find the right answer).
  •   Most of our mate’s face is they have lots of questions to ask but they are frightened to ask those questions. Sometimes they think that they won’t be able to get a correct answer, if the audience laughs at them etc.
v       Whenever you get an opportunity to solve a problem

       Identify the problem.

       Analyze the problem from several perspectives.

       Develop a few possible solutions.

       Decide which solution is the best fit.

       Take action.
